Perfect Products for Summer 2023
Taking care of your skin and your hair is so important, especially in the summer heat! I also think summer is a great time to test out new products and new looks, so here are my favorite Summer products:
Supergoop Glowscreen (SPF 40):
I absolutely love this sunscreen! Using an SPF every single day (no matter the season) is so incredibly important when it comes to protecting your skin. I always opt for a more glowy look, but I also really enjoy their Unseen Sunscreen as well, so if that’s what you prefer… it is still a great option!
Liquid/Cream Blush
Getting your hands on certain brands’ products right now is incredibly difficult, so I wanted to give a couple of options of my favorite blushes! I typically reach for cream and liquid products over powder and pressed, so I definitely have many favorites.
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
Benefit Benetint Liquid Lip Blush & Cheek Tint
Pixi Beauty On-The-Glow Blush Stick
e.l.f Cosmetics Halo Glow Blush Wand
Ouai Leave In Conditioner
I absolutely love this product! Using a heat protectant is so important and this one is the only product that I’ve tried that doesn't leave my hair with a weird, gross feel to it. I like to spray this on my hair after a shower, then put a hair oil on the ends of my hair, and then I blow dry it (or sometimes just leave my hair to air dry, but it still feels so soft after it dries).
Supergoop (Re) Setting 100% Mineral Powder (SPF 35)
This is a very universal product. You can use it on your face as it is intended to touch up throughout the day, or you can actually use it on your scalp! If your hair is parted or styled a certain way, you have more of a chance of getting a sunburn on your scalp, which is quite literally an awful burn to have, so with this product, you can place the powder on your scalp and not have to worry about that burn. To me, this is a way better option than spraying your hair with sunscreen or placing a liquid sunscreen on your scalp.
Setting Spray
Setting your makeup is such a crucial step to everything staying in place! When it comes to going out with makeup on in that brutal summer heat, investing in a good setting spray is so important. I have used many different setting sprays so here are some of my favorites:
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray
Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
Mac Fix+ Setting Spray
Milani Make It Last Dewy Setting Spray
Morphe Continuous Setting Spray
I'm definitely not someone who knows much about skincare or haircare, I found this post to be very informative. I think I need leave in conditioner as my hair can get really dry sometimes. The glowscreen sounds very helpful, I may invest in it!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say that I really enjoy the aesthetic of your website! I am not someone who chooses to wear makeup or care for skincare, but I enjoyed reading through blog as a whole. I have really sensitive skin and eczema and it has been hard to find products that work for me and that wont irritate it. Your hair tips are definitely something that I would more into!
ReplyDeleteThese are really great suggestions that I'll for sure try. I am the type of person that kind of puts my skincare routine on the wayside, and I definitely to keep up with it especially in the summer. The Supergoop Glowscreen sounds really great, and I'm definitely going to try it soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your favorite summer products! It's definitely important to take care of our skin and hair, especially during the summer when we are exposed to more sun and heat.
